Job Summary
We are looking for a highly skilled DevOps Engineer with deep expertise in GitHub Enterprise (GHES), CI/CD pipelines, and Kubernetes-based infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building, managing, and optimizing enterprise-grade CI/CD workflows, ensuring secure, scalable, and high-performance development and deployment environments.
This role requires strong automation, scripting, and cloud-native experience, along with a solid understanding of DevOps and DevSecOps best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and other DevOps tools.
- Manage GitHub Enterprise (GHES), including administration, workflows, GitHub Apps, and enterprise configurations.
- Build and maintain self-hosted runners, including autoscaling and secure execution environments.
- Develop and standardize enterprise GitHub workflows and reusable workflows.
- Automate build and deployment processes for applications built in Java, Node.js, and Python (Nice to have: .NET & Go).
- Integrate and manage GitHub Advanced Security (GHAS) tools for code security and compliance.
- Collaborate with development and QA teams to streamline SDLC processes and improve delivery efficiency.
- Manage and optimize Kubernetes clusters, including deployment, scaling, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Design cluster architecture, manage resources, and ensure high availability and performance.
- Monitor and optimize infrastructure (pods, nodes, namespaces) and ensure system reliability.
Required Skills
- 7+ years of experience in DevOps / Platform Engineering
- Strong expertise in GitHub Enterprise Server (GHES) and GitHub Actions
- Experience with self-hosted runners and enterprise-level workflow orchestration
- Proficiency in Python or Java for automation and scripting
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins)
- Strong knowledge of Source Control Management (Git, GitHub workflows)
- Experience with GitHub Advanced Security (GHAS)
Infrastructure & Cloud
- Strong experience with Kubernetes (kubectl, Helm, Rancher)
- Experience with Docker and containerization
- Cloud experience with GitHub Cloud and/or GCP
- Experience in cluster administration, monitoring, and optimization
Automation & Tools
- Experience with Terraform, Ansible
- Strong experience with GitHub REST & GraphQL APIs, GitHub CLI
- Expertise in automation, API integrations, and infrastructure as code
Preferred Skills
- Experience with microservices architecture
- Exposure to GHES upgrades, disaster recovery, and replication strategies
- Strong understanding of DevSecOps practices
