Solution Architect
Solution Architect
**Position: SAP Solution Architect MM with PEO/PLMSI** **Duration:** 08/31/2026 to 12/31/2026 **Location:** Orlando **Travel:** 5% **Description:** The IT Solution Architect is the senior solution owner for Material Master, SAP Production Engineering & Operations (PEO), and Product Lifecycle Management System Integration (PLMSI) in an SAP S/4HANA landscape. They translate complex engineering, manufacturing, and master data into integrated SAP solutions, define the architecture and roadmap for MM with PEO/PLMSI experience, and lead cross-functional design and implementation. **Key Responsibilities:** - **Solution Architecture & Design:** Define the end-to-end S/4HANA architecture for Material Master PEO and PLMSI, aligned with business objectives. Lead blueprint and design workshops with engineering, production, supply chain, quality, and IT. Establish standards, design principles, and integration patterns for PEO/PLMSI/MM and related modules (PP, QM, EWM, WM, GTS, MDG, MES/PEO). - **Material Master - PEO / PLMSI:** Architect PEO solutions for work instructions, routings, BOMs, digital thread, and engineering change management. Design PLMSI integration to ensure product structures, releases, and changes from PLM are accurately reflected in Material Master and PEO. Define and govern Material Master data models, views, and rules across plants and programs, ensuring consistency for manufacturing and logistics. Ensure robust integration with downstream processes (planning/MRP, procurement, inventory, production, logistics, quality). - **Integration & Digital Thread:** Design integration between SAP PEO, PLM, MES, MDG, PP, QM, EWM/WM, GTS, and external systems to support a continuous digital thread from engineering through operations. Assess architectural impacts of changes across SAP and non-SAP systems and propose solution alternatives. Collaborate with data migration and integration teams as architectural product owner, defining data, acceptance criteria, and priorities for PEO/PLMSI/MM. - **Delivery Leadership & Governance:** Provide solution leadership across projects and releases, guiding functional consultants, developers (RICEFW/FRICEW), and BASIS/integration teams. Own architectural decisions, risk mitigation, and escalation for PEO/PLMSI/MM. Ensure adherence to SAP best practices and methodologies (SAP Activate, ASAP, Advanced Deployment, Sprints). - **Testing, Quality & Roadmap:** Oversee end-to-end solution validation: test strategy spanning unit, integration, regression, and user acceptance. Support “shift-left” testing to validate critical objects and integrations early. Maintain the PEO/PLMSI/MM roadmap, advising leadership on sequencing, dependencies, and future capabilities. - **A&D Compliance & Security:** Architect solutions that comply with A&D regulations (ITAR/EAR, DoD rules, quality/government acceptance). Support efforts to obtain and maintain security clearances and ensure solutions meet audit and cybersecurity expectations. ** Qualifications:** - Typically 8–10+ years of SAP implementation experience, with at least 2 full lifecycle S/4HANA implementations in manufacturing/supply chain. - Deep hands-on expertise in SAP PEO and related manufacturing execution, engineering change, and digital manufacturing processes. - Strong knowledge of MM Material Master and PLM/PLMSI integration in engineering-driven manufacturing. - Proven experience designing integrated solutions across PP, QM, EWM/WM, MDG, PLM, MES, and logistics/supply chain. - Experience in solution/enterprise architecture: defining target architectures, standards, and interface patterns; leading cross-functional design. - Familiarity with SAP methodologies (SAP Activate, ASAP, Sprints, Advanced Deployment) and model-based process design (Design-to-Operate). - Strong skills in process mapping, data modeling, and configuration oversight in SAP. - Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Manufacturing, or Business, or equivalent experience.
