Network Engineer

**Job Title: Network Engineer** **Job Responsibilities:** - Installing network hardware, components, and cabling. - Troubleshooting and resolving issues on the network. - Ability to rack and stack networking hardware within onsite and off-site racks in accordance with. - Provide technical support through various means of communication. - Collaborate easily with business unit and project managers. - Assist operations team in network design, implementation, and problem resolution. - Meet quality, productivity, turnaround time, and other expectations. - Provide after-hour support and perform any other ad hoc duties. - Optimize stability, availability, reliability, and performance of networking infrastructure. - Conduct and make recommendations on LAN & WAN resource, performance, and capacity planning. **Must Have:** - 8 years of experience designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, Internet, and data center technologies. - 8 years of experience installing, configuring, and supporting network equipment, including routers, switches, wireless infrastructure, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and network security technologies. - 8 years of experience in network troubleshooting and analysis utilizing packet captures, monitoring tools, and performance diagnostics. - 5 years of experience in wireless network design, configuration, optimization, and support. - 4 years of experience supporting cloud connectivity and hybrid network environments. - 4 years of experience managing vendor-delivered network services and coordinating infrastructure projects. **Voice / Unified Communications:** - 4 years of experience in VoIP engineering, unified communications, or telecommunications environments. - 4 years of experience with SIP, RTP, QoS, dial plans, call routing, and VoIP protocols. - 4 years of experience administering and supporting enterprise voice platforms, such as Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM), Unity Connection, CER, or equivalent systems. - 4 years of experience troubleshooting voice quality, call processing, call routing, and telecommunications issues. - 4 years of strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking, NAT, DNS, DHCP, QoS, and their impact on voice services. - 2 years of experience supporting cloud-based voice or collaboration platforms such as Microsoft Teams Phone, Webex Calling, or equivalent solutions. **Preferred Skills:** - 5 years of advanced knowledge of enterprise networking technologies, including EIGRP, BGP, STP, VPC, mLACP, MLAG, VRF, IPv4/IPv6, VSS, multicast technologies (IGMP, PIM, Anycast-RP, MSDP), and network segmentation. - 5 years of experience with network access control and authentication technologies, including 802.1X, EAP-TLS, PEAP-MSCHAPv2, TACACS+, and RADIUS. - 5 years of experience administering and troubleshooting Cisco enterprise networking platforms, including Cisco IOS, Cisco NX-OS, and modern data center networking technologies. - 2 years of experience with Cisco DNA Center, network automation, or software-defined networking solutions. - Experience with enterprise monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting platforms, including Syslog, SNMP, and network performance monitoring tools. - Demonstrated ability to manage complex technical projects and infrastructure initiatives with minimal supervision. - Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and commitment to delivering reliable business outcomes. **Voice / Unified Communications:** - 2 years of experience supporting cloud-based voice and Unified Communications as a Service (UCaaS) platforms, such as Microsoft Teams Phone, Webex Calling, or equivalent solutions. - 4 years of experience supporting Cisco Unified Communications environments, including CUCM, Unity Connection, CER, SIP trunks, gateways, and call routing. - 4 years of working knowledge of VoIP security, encryption, QoS, firewall configurations, and voice network design principles. - 4 years of proficiency with VoIP technologies and protocols, including SIP, RTP, SRTP, H.323, and VoLTE. - 4 years of experience using network monitoring, call analytics, and VoIP performance management tools to troubleshoot and optimize voice services. - 4 years of experience supporting telephony hardware, including IP phones, voice gateways, session border controllers (SBCs), and related infrastructure. **Preferred Certifications:** - Cisco CCNA, CCNP Enterprise, CCNP Collaboration, or equivalent industry certifications.
