Job Title: Functional Analyst / Administrator (JD Edwards – RF-SMART)
Location: Houston, TX (Hybrid)

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly capable Functional Analyst / Administrator with expertise in RF-SMART and JD Edwards (JDE) to support and enhance warehouse and inventory operations. This role serves as a critical bridge between business operations and technology, focusing on RF-SMART configuration, workflow optimization, and end-user support within the JDE ecosystem.

The ideal candidate is hands-on, process-driven, and experienced in managing RF-SMART environments while driving continuous improvements in warehouse processes.

Key Responsibilities

RF-SMART Administration & Configuration

• Administer and maintain RF-SMART environments, including user setup, security, and device configuration.
• Configure and optimize RF-SMART workflows such as receiving, picking, packing, shipping, inventory movements, and cycle counting.
• Customize RF-SMART forms, menus, and business logic to align with operational needs.
• Support RF hardware setup (handheld scanners, printers) and troubleshoot connectivity and performance issues.

JD Edwards (JDE) Functional Support

• Provide functional support across JDE modules including Inventory Management, Warehouse Management, and Procurement.
• Analyze and troubleshoot integration points between RF-SMART and JDE.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), deployments, and system changes impacting warehouse operations.

Process Improvement & Workflow Optimization

• Collaborate with warehouse and operations teams to identify inefficiencies and recommend system-driven solutions.
• Design and implement enhanced RF workflows to improve operational accuracy and throughput.
• Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and system documentation.
• Participate in or lead continuous improvement initiatives.

Support & Troubleshooting

• Act as the primary point of contact for RF-SMART-related issues.
• Diagnose and resolve functional and basic technical issues in a timely manner.
• Coordinate with IT teams, developers, and vendors for issue escalation and resolution.
• Monitor system performance and proactively address potential risks or bottlenecks.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with RF-SMART or similar warehouse mobility solutions.
• Working knowledge of JD Edwards (JDE), particularly in Inventory and Warehouse Management processes.
• Experience configuring RF workflows and supporting warehouse operations.
• Strong understanding of warehouse processes (receiving, picking, shipping, inventory control).
• Proven ability to troubleshoot system issues and translate business requirements into functional solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with RF-SMART customization (forms, advanced configurations).
• Familiarity with JDE EnterpriseOne (E1) tools, tables, and data structures.
• Experience with barcoding, label printing, and RF hardware devices.
• Exposure to SQL, reporting tools, or system integrations.
• Experience supporting go-lives or large-scale system implementations.
