Role Overview
The PLM Program Director is responsible for leading and governing large-scale Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) programs across multiple geographies, stakeholders, and workstreams. This role owns end-to-end delivery, client engagement, financial performance, and execution of strategic PLM transformation initiatives.
The Program Director serves as the single point of accountability for program success, value realization, compliance, and customer satisfaction, ensuring alignment with business objectives and enterprise architecture.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of large-scale PLM transformation programs
- Manage multi-million-dollar ($10M+) global PLM initiatives and migration programs
- Drive program governance, risk management, and quality assurance
- Engage with executive stakeholders and act as a trusted advisor
- Oversee financials including budgeting, forecasting, and margin management
- Align PLM roadmap with business goals and enterprise architecture
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and validation requirements
- Lead cross-functional, global teams across US, Europe, and India
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (MBA preferred)
- 20+ years of IT/Digital Program Management experience
- 12+ years of experience in PLM programs
- Proven track record leading large, global PLM transformations and migration programs
- Strong understanding of PLM processes:
- NPI / NPD
- BOM Management
- Change Management
- Configuration Management
- Document Control
- Hands-on experience with at least one PLM platform:
- Teamcenter
- Windchill
- 3DEXPERIENCE
- Agile PLM
- Strong client-facing and executive stakeholder management experience
- Solid financial acumen with ownership of program commercials and margins
- Experience in one or more domains:
- Life Sciences
- Medical Devices
- Manufacturing
- Automotive
- Experience working in regulated environments with validation-led delivery models
- Experience in global delivery models (US–Europe–India)
