Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Cloud Engineer with strong expertise in Microsoft Azure, cloud-native architecture, and infrastructure automation. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cloud operations, CI/CD, and site reliability engineering practices, with the ability to design and manage scalable, secure, and highly available cloud environments.
Required Experience & Qualifications
- 10–12 years of overall IT experience
- 5–7 years of hands-on experience in cloud development/support (preferably Azure)
- 2–3 years of experience in the financial services domain (preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
Technical Skills
Cloud & Infrastructure:
- Strong expertise in Azure (preferred), AWS, or GCP
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC): ARM Templates, Terraform, CloudFormation
- Hands-on experience with Azure services:
- Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
- Virtual Machines, Virtual Networks, Azure DNS
- Event Hub, Blob Storage, Redis Cache, App Services
Automation & DevOps:
- CI/CD tools: Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Octopus Deploy
- Configuration management: Puppet, Chef, Ansible
- Source control: Git
- Code quality tools: SonarQube, Checkmarx
Containerization & Orchestration:
- Docker and Kubernetes (AKS preferred)
- Experience with Istio service mesh and Helm charts
Programming & Scripting:
- Python, Ruby
- PowerShell, Bash
- Knowledge of Java, C#, or Go is a plus
Monitoring & Observability:
- Tools such as Splunk, DataDog, AppDynamics, Nagios, ZipKin
Operating Systems & Databases:
- Linux (strong expertise) and Windows
- Databases: Oracle, SQL Server, NoSQL (CosmosDB preferred)
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable, secure, and reliable cloud-native solutions
- Lead cloud architecture aligned with Azure Well-Architected Framework
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for automated provisioning
- Drive Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) best practices across teams
- Design and manage AKS environments with Istio for microservices
- Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and related tools
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot production issues
- Develop automation workflows to improve operational efficiency
- Conduct POCs and technical feasibility studies
- Ensure 24x7 system availability and performance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver cloud solutions
- Implement governance using policy-as-code and compliance automation
- Mentor team members and act as SME for cloud technologies
Preferred Skills
- Experience with financial industry applications
- Strong understanding of distributed systems and microservices
- Knowledge of 12-Factor App methodology
- Experience with test automation tools like Selenium, JMeter, Postman
