Job Title: Infor Presales Director
Location: Remote + Travel

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Infor Presales Director to lead solution consulting and presales engagements across manufacturing and distribution sectors. This role will partner closely with sales teams to design, position, and demonstrate industry-specific ERP solutions leveraging the Infor product suite.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong mix of functional and technical ERP expertise, exceptional client-facing skills, and the ability to drive complex presales cycles from discovery through deal closure.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Consulting & Discovery

  • Engage with clients to gather business, functional, and technical requirements
  • Analyze current systems, identify gaps, and recommend best-fit ERP solutions
  • Map solutions across platforms:
    • M3 – Process manufacturing & distribution
    • LN – Complex/discrete manufacturing
    • CSI (SyteLine) – SMB manufacturing
    • XA – Legacy IBM i manufacturing environments
    • Edge – AI-driven insights and automation

Product Demonstrations & Storytelling

  • Deliver tailored, industry-specific product demonstrations
  • Build compelling business scenarios (Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, Plan-to-Produce)
  • Showcase integrations across the Infor ecosystem

Proposal & RFP Management

  • Lead and manage responses for RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs
  • Develop:
    • Solution architecture diagrams
    • Scope and effort estimations
    • Bill of Materials (BOM) and licensing inputs
  • Collaborate with sales teams on pricing strategy and deal positioning

Technical & Functional Expertise

  • Demonstrate deep knowledge of ERP modules:
    • Finance (GL, AP, AR)
    • Supply Chain Management
    • Manufacturing & Procurement
  • Work with Infor technology stack:
    • Infor OS
    • Infor ION
    • Infor Birst
  • Explain:
    • Cloud (SaaS) vs On-Premise deployments
    • Integration architecture and APIs
    • Data migration strategies

Industry Alignment

  • Support key industries including:
    • Industrial Manufacturing
    • Automotive & Aerospace
    • Food & Beverage
    • Distribution & Logistics
  • Align ERP solutions based on business complexity, scale, and industry requirements

Sales Enablement & Client Engagement

  • Partner with Account Executives throughout the sales lifecycle
  • Conduct workshops, discovery sessions, and executive briefings
  • Act as a trusted advisor to business and IT stakeholders

Competitive Positioning

  • Position Infor solutions against competitors such as SAP and Oracle
  • Highlight differentiators:
    • Industry-specific CloudSuites
    • Modern UX and user-centric design
    • AI/automation capabilities through Infor Edge
    • Faster time-to-value

Required Skills

Functional Expertise

  • Strong understanding of:
    • Manufacturing processes (MRP, BOM, APS, shop floor control)
    • Supply chain planning and execution
    • Finance modules (GL, AP, AR)

Technical Skills

  • ERP presales / solution consulting experience
  • Knowledge of:
    • Cloud (SaaS) architecture
    • APIs and integrations
    • Data flows, analytics, and reporting

Soft Skills

  • Excellent presentation and demo delivery skills
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management
  • Ability to handle objections and position solutions effectively

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, IT, or Business
  • 8–15+ years of ERP experience (Infor preferred)
  • Hands-on exposure to one or more: M3, LN, CSI (SyteLine), XA
  • Infor certifications (preferred)
