Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer with strong expertise in GitHub Enterprise (GHES), GitHub Actions, Kubernetes, and CI/CD automation. The ideal candidate will have experience managing enterprise-scale DevOps platforms, implementing secure CI/CD pipelines, and optimizing Kubernetes environments.
Key Responsibilities
GitHub Enterprise & CI/CD
Administer and manage GitHub Enterprise Server (GHES) environments.
Design, implement, and maintain GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines.
Manage self-hosted runners, including autoscaling, secure execution environments, and orchestration.
Develop and maintain enterprise-level GitHub workflows and reusable workflows.
Create and manage GitHub Apps at the enterprise level.
Integrate and automate workflows using GitHub REST APIs, GraphQL APIs, and GitHub CLI.
DevOps & Automation
Build and deploy applications across multiple programming languages including Java, NodeJS, and Python (Nice to have: .NET and Go).
Develop automation scripts using Python, Java, or other scripting languages.
Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Jenkins.
Integrate DevSecOps practices and enterprise SDLC standards.
Kubernetes & Containerization
Administer and maintain Kubernetes clusters and infrastructure.
Design and manage Kubernetes cluster architecture, resources, and storage.
Monitor and optimize pods, nodes, and namespaces.
Deploy and manage applications using Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, kubectl, and Rancher.
Security & Platform Reliability
Implement and maintain GitHub Advanced Security (GHAS) tooling.
Support GHES upgrades, disaster recovery planning, replication, and platform optimization.
Ensure compliance with enterprise security standards and DevSecOps practices.
Required Qualifications
7+ years of experience in DevOps engineering or platform engineering.
Strong experience with GitHub Enterprise Server (GHES) administration.
Deep expertise in:
GitHub Actions
Self-hosted runners
Enterprise GitHub workflows
Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions and Jenkins.
Strong knowledge of Source Control Management (Git, GitHub workflows).
Proficiency in automation and scripting (Python, Java, or similar).
Hands-on experience with:
Kubernetes
Docker
Helm
kubectl
Rancher
Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
Knowledge of GitHub Advanced Security (GHAS).
Experience working with enterprise SDLC processes and DevSecOps practices.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with GitHub Enterprise Cloud.
Cloud platform experience (GCP preferred).
Experience with microservices architecture.
Exposure to additional programming languages like .NET or Go.
