Senior DevSecOps Engineer

**Job Title: Senior DevSecOps Engineer** **Location:** Onsite in Charlotte, NC (100% onsite, relocation considered for candidates in the Southeast) **Contract Duration:** 6-month contract to hire **Role Overview:** We are seeking a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to join our application engineering team. This role is not a traditional DevOps position; it a strong focus on embedding security throughout the entire application delivery lifecycle. The ideal candidate will drive efficiency within the engineering team while implementing controls, automation, and security-aware practices into every pipeline, deployment, and platform. You will collaborate with engineers and security teams to enhance the speed and safety of our delivery processes. **Key Responsibilities:** - Own and create best practices from a DevOps perspective as the sole DevOps/DevSecOps resource. - Recognize and integrate security measures across the application delivery lifecycle. - Partner with engineering and security teams to improve deployment processes. **Top Skills :** - 6+ years of software development experience in one or more of the following: Java,.NET/C#, Python, Node.js, or Apex. - 3+ years in a DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering role, with at least 2 years focused on DevSecOps practices. - Hands-on experience managing production systems from end-to-end, including design, deployment, monitoring, and incident response. - Experience managing Salesforce deployments and releases as part of a broader CI/CD pipeline; familiarity with Gearset or Copado is a plus. - Proficiency in containerizing workloads with Docker and orchestrating via ECS/EKS (or AKS), with a focus on hardening images against vulnerabilities and supply-chain attacks. - Hands-on experience with AWS services (IAM, VPC, KMS, CloudTrail, etc.). - Experience with Infrastructure as Code, preferably using Terraform. - Familiarity with SAST/DAST/SCA tooling, such as Snyk, Checkmarx, or SonarQube. - Strong communication skills are essential, as this role effective interaction with technical teams and other business units. **Additional Information:** Candidates from large enterprise environments where they have only owned a single piece of the pipeline may not be a fit for this role.
