Business Analyst

**Job Title: Business Analyst** **Location:** Onsite in Austin, TX (4-5 days a week) **Contract Duration:** 12+ months **Job Responsibilities:** - Responsible for planning and coordinating activities for releasing high-quality products into production. - Accountable for leading quality assurance activities within multiple scrum teams. - Collaborate closely with IT service management process owners, including change managers. **Must Have:** - 8+ years of experience in planning, coordinating, gathering, business analytics, specifications development, project planning, project monitoring, and project status reporting. - Proven experience in gathering, analyzing, and documenting business and functional for large-scale custom-developed applications. - Strong background in stakeholder engagement, including facilitating workshops, interviews, and JAD sessions. - Expertise in creating Business Documents (BRDs), Functional Documents (FRDs), use cases, process flows, and user stories. - Experience in leading User Acceptance Testing (UAT) planning, execution, and defect triaging. - Skilled in change management, impact analysis, and business process reengineering. **Preferred Skills:** - **Technical Platform Experience:** - **Java, Angular, Spring Boot:** Deep understanding of how business logic is implemented in monolithic Java-based applications. Ability to collaborate effectively with developers and architects to translate business needs into technical solutions. - **Oracle Database:** Experience writing and validating SQL queries for data analysis and validation. Understanding of relational data models and data mapping for reporting and integration. - **MuleSoft Enterprise Service Bus (ESB):** Familiarity with API-led connectivity and integration patterns. Experience working with service contracts, message flows, and troubleshooting integration issues. - **TxDOT Contract Letting (Construction & Maintenance Projects):** In-depth knowledge of the contract lifecycle, from project initiation to letting and award. Experience with systems, terminology, and compliance. Familiarity with construction and maintenance project workflows, funding, and scheduling.
